KAHRAMAA

Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation, was established in July, 2000 further to the Emiri Law number 10, to regulate and maintain supply of Electricity & Water to customers.

Since inception, Kahramaa has operated as an independent corporation on a commercial basis with a total capital of four billion Qatari Riyals. Kahramaa was mandated with several responsibilities and commitments, some of which are:

The right to own, construct, operate and maintain electricity generation stations, water desalination plants, electricity transmission and water distribution networks. Set up of infrastructure & network development plans and programs. Lay out regulations, standards and codes of practices which pertain to provision of electricity and water supplies to various buildings and establishments as well as review of their implementations. Provide consultancies & services related to its operations.

KM TA EEPW Electrical Engr Power/ Water Production Project Preparing Electrical Specification, Scope of work, Tender documents. Design, Review of the Electrical Part for IWPP Projects. KM TA CEPW Civil Engineer Power and Water Production Project Preparing Specification, Scope of work civil, Tender documents. Carry out Design Review of the civil Part for IWPP Power & Water Projects. Carry out Site Supervision & Monitoring of Project Execution.
KM TA SREWD Senior Research Engineer Water Desalination Leading a range of water desalination technology research programmes. developing cost effective ways to reduce the cost of seawater and brackish water desalination and wastewater reclamation.
KM TA SESS Senior Engineer Site Supervision Leading & Monitoring the technical team for site project supervision and witnessing the commissioning & testing. Coordination and actions on all site activities. Preparing site progress periodical reports. Report to the Head Section on all site issues.

KAHRAMAA - EMPLOYMENT BENIFITS
Our client KAHRAMAA must follow specific format when making employment offers to successful candidates. Should candidates be short-listed for interview, then an offer of employment may be made based on the generic terms outlined below:
  • Basic monthly salaries are offered depends on the grade of the position and technical interview result.
  • Annual merit/increment based on Performance Appraisal
  • Monthly Housing Allowance (Based on single or married status).
  • Monthly Transportation Allowance: of QR.1000 per month.
  • Salary is free of local taxes.
  • Furniture Allowance: Married status employees amount QR. 40,000 will be paid by KAHRAMAA after successfully completing the probation period. For Bachelors, the furniture allowance is QR. 20,000. All furniture allowances depreciate over a four year period.
  • Ticket: Family Annual air tickets back home.
  • Interest-free car Loan: Amount of five months Basic Salary or QR. 45,000 whichever is greater will be made available by KAHRAMAA as an interest free loan after successfully completing the probation period. The loan shall be settled by monthly installments for a period not exceeding (48) months.
  • End Of service benefits: one month basic salary as for each year of service not exceeding 10 months salary and regardless to any served numbers of years more than ten years.
  • Medical: The Employee, his wife & up to four of his dependant children will be entitled to free medical treatment in government hospitals in Qatar as per the contract terms.
  • Yearly telephone allowance of QR500.
  • Freight allowances on mobilization & demobilization: Upon arrival and departure from Qatar, you will be compensated for the air freight of households items an amount in cash equivalent to 350 Kg for employee, 350 Kg for his wife and 20 kg per eligible child up to four children substantiated by receipts to assist you towards the costs of unaccompanied air freight and other related expenses in accordance with the original receipts.
  • Annual Leave: 37 working days per year.
  • The contract is intended for an indefinite period.
  • Work week: The week begins on Sunday and ends on Thursday. The weekend is Friday and Saturday.
  • Normal working hours: 6:30a.m.-2:30p.m.
  • Shift Working Hours (if applicable): for certain Corporation activities three work cycles exist.
