KAHRAMAA

Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation, was established in July, 2000 further to the Emiri Law number 10, to regulate and maintain supply of Electricity & Water to customers.

Since inception, Kahramaa has operated as an independent corporation on a commercial basis with a total capital of four billion Qatari Riyals. Kahramaa was mandated with several responsibilities and commitments, some of which are:

The right to own, construct, operate and maintain electricity generation stations, water desalination plants, electricity transmission and water distribution networks. Set up of infrastructure & network development plans and programs. Lay out regulations, standards and codes of practices which pertain to provision of electricity and water supplies to various buildings and establishments as well as review of their implementations. Provide consultancies & services related to its operations.

KM CP4 Senior Information Analyst Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA), is the sole transmission and distribution corporation in the State of Qatar and is responsible for providing electricity and water services throughout the country.

KM ETCI E-Technology Continuous Improvement coordinator To coordinate the specifics of current projects and all its functionalities to reach the prior set targets by the role players involved. Maintains regular communication with all KM departments to coordinate events and to follow up feed back requests raised by CSCID colleagues in order to assist in achieving the continuous service improvement goal.
KM WSC Water Services Continuous improvement engineer Responsible for improvement of Water Projects and to achieve continuous improvement in the efficiency of operations, customer service, projects implementation and the smooth introduction of cost-down, customer satisfaction and efficiency improvements.
KM ELD Engineer (Leak Detection) To plan and supervise the implementation of leak detection activities, develop tenders for procurement of latest scientific instruments for leak detection and training courses, interact with other dept/section on issues pertaining to shutdowns, rectification of leaks, follow-up Call-Off Requests, RO permits etc and assist Head of Leak Detection Section in establishing UFW and Leakage Percentage Reports. Conducts pipe hydraulics studies of the water distribution network by district/zone in coordination with other WNA divisions to establish efficient operation of each district/zone. Establish procedures in liaison with Water Planning Division to collect required data in updating existing network models incorporating all latest expansion of Distribution Networks and Service Connections.
KM CIE Continuous Improvement QA Engineer Continuous improvement to quality assurance plans as per ISO and latest international quality standards, and reviewing improvements to the Service Improvement Strategy in accordance with these standards to insure that the services are performing to maximum efficiency.
KM ENP Engineer (Network Planning) Supervises the preparation of Systems Operation Improvement and the Facility Plan for the efficient and effective delivery of KM water supply services as well as the Administrative requirement of the whole Section; Establishes strategies for the implementation of projects, management directions, new development, etc. to the Planning Staff for appropriate actions.
KM WCE Water Control Engineer Supervises and manages the efficient operation of the Qatar Water Networks from the Water Producers through the National Water Control Center in an 8-hour shift inclusive of the operations of at least 15 main Reservoir and Pumping Stations' rising mains stations, & primary water mains.

KAHRAMAA - EMPLOYMENT BENIFITS
Our client KAHRAMAA must follow specific format when making employment offers to successful candidates. Should candidates be short-listed for interview, then an offer of employment may be made based on the generic terms outlined below:
  • Basic monthly salaries are offered depends on the grade of the position and technical interview result.
  • Annual merit/increment based on Performance Appraisal
  • Monthly Housing Allowance (Based on single or married status).
  • Monthly Transportation Allowance: of QR.1000 per month.
  • Salary is free of local taxes.
  • Furniture Allowance: Married status employees amount QR. 40,000 will be paid by KAHRAMAA after successfully completing the probation period. For Bachelors, the furniture allowance is QR. 20,000. All furniture allowances depreciate over a four year period.
  • Ticket: Family Annual air tickets back home.
  • Interest-free car Loan: Amount of five months Basic Salary or QR. 45,000 whichever is greater will be made available by KAHRAMAA as an interest free loan after successfully completing the probation period. The loan shall be settled by monthly installments for a period not exceeding (48) months.
  • End Of service benefits: one month basic salary as for each year of service not exceeding 10 months salary and regardless to any served numbers of years more than ten years.
  • Medical: The Employee, his wife & up to four of his dependant children will be entitled to free medical treatment in government hospitals in Qatar as per the contract terms.
  • Yearly telephone allowance of QR500.
  • Freight allowances on mobilization & demobilization: Upon arrival and departure from Qatar, you will be compensated for the air freight of households items an amount in cash equivalent to 350 Kg for employee, 350 Kg for his wife and 20 kg per eligible child up to four children substantiated by receipts to assist you towards the costs of unaccompanied air freight and other related expenses in accordance with the original receipts.
  • Annual Leave: 37 working days per year.
  • The contract is intended for an indefinite period.
  • Work week: The week begins on Sunday and ends on Thursday. The weekend is Friday and Saturday.
  • Normal working hours: 6:30a.m.-2:30p.m.
  • Shift Working Hours (if applicable): for certain Corporation activities three work cycles exist.
