Primary Purpose of
Develop long term business plans for future
projects/ventures in Downstream
Gathering business related information from
different corporate departments and external sources
Analyse the data together with the current
department situation and plan long term strategic solutions for department
Be actively involved in monitor and interpret
all trends that occur within refinery and petrochemical industry
Contribute to the development of downstream
strategic plans and strategic business plans
Coordinate with corporate strategy &
planning department and consolidate inputs on future projects for Downstream
Compare and analyse existing resources with
future requirements. Estimate future human resource requirements as well as future
financial requirements for the developed long term plan (5-10 years).
Conduct under supervision of Strategic Analysis
Manager in-depth analysis (e.g., market, competition, financials, etc.) of
potential projects to determine scope and quantify impact of growth on the
Identify external best practices related to
Conduct market assessments on resources from
various sources and the future of Construction Projects.
Seek, devolve and evaluate new ventures and
Ensure the continuous improvement of assessment
methodology of potential participation in various downstream
Evaluate market, dynamics, competitor
accomplishment and industry structures.
Participate in recommendations to senior
management to assist in the developments of DD goals.
Participate with senior management to define
company strategic goal and develop short and long terms strategic business
Identify business development and growth
Plan and organise research in the field to
gather primary data from the full spectrum of stakeholders in the downstream
B Sc. degree in Engineering with 15 years
experience in petrochemical industry.
Experience in strategic planning/ Analysis
within oil and gas industry.
Creative and results oriented, excellent
interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills.
Client Downstream (Technical & Commercial)
Key Project management and functional managers
such as Contracts and Procurement Manager, Project Controls Manager,
Potential business or JV partners.
Propose and recommend for approval client’s
share of project budget and associated expenditure at different project stages.
